Announcement and First Call for Abstracts for IASAPYC's 3rd World Congress

Sport and play are widely acknowledged to be crucial for young children's healthy development and have attracted increasing attention from academic, business and sports communities. Thus, the International Association of Sport and Play for Young Children (IASAPYC) will organize its third world congress in the Faculty of Education, Hokkaido University of Education (Iwamizawa Campus), Hokkaido, Japan.

 

Under the Theme “Niche and Strengths of the Global Development of Young Children’s Physical Activity, Game, Exercise and Sport”, the Congress aims at exploring the trend, opportunity, and strengths of young children’s physical and health development globally. The focus will be on the interactive effect between the global and local social context when enhancing quality research on physical activity/game/exercise/sport for young children, and providing a platform for cultural and academic exchanges at a global scale.

 

The Congress will consist of plenary presentations,panel discussions,sub-theme presentations,posters, workshops and demonstration as well as site visit to local kindergartens in Hokkaido.  The Congress language will be in English and Japanese translation will be provided for the keynote speeches.  

 

Experts and scholars are welcome to register and submit abstracts to the Congress within the following areas:

1)Impact of technology (virtual reality, animated reality, artificial intelligence) on physical activity and sport for young children

2 ) Big data on young children's play and sport

3) Physical education curriculum and teaching methods for young children

4) Professional training and accreditation for physical education teachers and caretakers for young children

5) Physical fitness and motor skills of young children

6) Relationships between cognitive, emotional and physical development of young children

7) Environmental considerations on physical activity and sport for young children

8) Safety and risk management for young children's play and sport

9) Test and measurement of physical activity and sport for young children

10) Education and health policy issues for young children’s physical development

11) Other related issues

 

Deadline for the abstract submission is May 31, 2020. The length of abstract is maximum 300 words in English. Please send your abstract to the email box: iasapyc@126.com. The organizing committee of the Congress will invite international experts in the field to evaluate the submitted abstracts and announce the names of oral and poster presenters by June 30, 2020.
